Your wedding day is one of the most photographed days of your life. A bridal makeup trial is a dedicated appointment, scheduled before your wedding, where we create a complete wedding-day look on your skin from start to finish.
The purpose of this session is simple: to remove every ounce of guesswork before it counts.
- It lets you see how the makeup looks on your actual face, skin tone, and features before the wedding
- You can check if you have sensitive skin, allergies, or if certain foundations and powders cause creasing, breakouts, or oiliness over a full day.
- Knowing exactly how you will look and how long the application takes removes major anxiety on the morning of your wedding
By the time your trial ends, you will know precisely what your finished look will be, how it photographs, how it feels, and how long it lasts. Nothing is left to chance, and there are no surprises on the morning that matters most.
To maximize your trial and ensure a photo-ready application, follow these expert preparation steps before your appointment:
- Arrive with a clean, bare face. Complete any facial waxing, threading, or brow shaping 3 to 5 days prior. Freshly hair-removed skin can repel makeup, causing it to slip or look patchy.
- Bring clear photos of makeup styles you like (e.g., soft glam, dewy skin, or classic matte finishes) as well as a picture of your wedding dress to help us match the overall vibe.
- Wear a white or light-coloured button-down shirt or robe. This mimics the color reflections of a wedding dress and ensures your face look isn't distorted by bright or dark everyday clothing.
We recommend to schedule your makeup trial roughly four to eight weeks before the wedding. Try to align it with your hair trial. Seeing your hair and makeup together gives you the truest preview of your complete bridal look.
