Hand washing is required before and between providing services to each client. An anti-bacterial soap is used to sanitize the hands and the exposed portions of arms before providing services.
A new pair of sterile nitrile medical exam gloves are used for pedicure, manicure, waxing & tinting services. These medical-grade gloves are made from 100% synthetic nitrile polymer, a special material that resists contamination. This material offers the strength and flexibility of latex without the potential threat of latex allergy.
COUNTERTOPS & FLOORS
All countertops, surfaces, door handles, floors and cabinetry are disinfected and sanitized after each treatment and on a daily basis.
TREATMENT TABLE COVERINGS
A new sterilized treatment table covering is laid out for each client to minimize any chance of cross contamination between services. Blankets and pillow covering are also changed.
SKIN CARE TREATMENTS
All linens including blankets, pillowcase and towels are always single use. We laundered them using high heat, detergent, and bleach after each use. All treatments are performed with clean towels, treatment table sheets, disposable gauze and cotton pads.
WAXING & TINTING
All waxing implements, spatulas and cotton strips are disposable. Once the applicator comes in contact with a client once it is thrown away and never gets dipped back into the container. A new applicator is used every time wax is applied to a client. This assures that the wax will never become contaminated. Pots are covered when not in use and are cleaned daily.
HAND & FOOT THERAPY
All porous implements, nail files, buffer blocks and wooden sticks, for manicures and pedicures are disposable and are discarded or given to the client following each treatment. Foot soaking is performed in a stainless steel pedicure bowl. The soaking bowl is sterilized with anti-bacterial soap and hot water and then sprayed and sanitized with an approved method of sanitizing spray and cover with a pedicure bowl plastic, for single use only
All equipment and linens that come in contact with clients are cleansed using an approved method. All oils are dispensed in a contamination free manner. Before and after each body treatment, the Medical Aesthetician or Spa Therapist’s hands and forearms are washed with hot soapy water and a disinfecting solution. Any breaks in the skin of our team will be covered with protective coverings.
All tools, implements and equipment are cleaned then disinfected by complete saturation and immersion for 10 minutes in PREempt, an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant that is bactericidal, viruscidal, fungicidal and pseudomonacidal. Also we use Biomers, medical grade disinfectant for sanitizing non-critical implements before and after each service.
All sterilized items are stored in a covered sanitary pouches & container. All disposables are safely thrown away
