Dermaplaning with AlumierMD Enzyme Retexturing Treatment (90 min)

$195.00

Dermaplaning is a gentle yet highly effective, manual exfoliation treatment used to remove dead skin cells, deep-seated dirt, oil, peach fuzz, and unwanted facial hair. A build-up of skin cells and hair on your face can make your complexion appear dull, dry and can increase your chances of breakouts due to clogged pores.

As we age, skin cells don’t slough off on their own as quickly. Dermaplaning helps to remove the outer layer of dead skin cells promoting faster cell turnover. This results in instantly brighter, smoother, and healthier skin. In addition to a dewier and more radiant complexion, regular Dermaplaning can also reduce the appearance of fine lines, enlarged pores and uneven texture of the skin.
Without dead skin cells out of the way, skin care products will easily absorb into the skin and penetrate more deeply and effectively. Make-up application will be smooth and flawless because you are starting with a cleaner base that is free of congestion.

Benefits:
  • Removes facial vellus hair
  • Reduces built up dead skin cells
  • Allows for better product penetration
  • Leaves a fresher smoother appearance
  • It does not make the hair grow back thicker and darker.
  • It can be performed prior to treatments like facials, laser, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels for better product penetration.

Treatment Procedure:

This Treatment includes an Enzyme Retexturing Treatment, followed by a hydrating restorative mask, a collagen infusing treatment and finished with skincare and sunscreen suited to your unique skin type and condition. You will be receiving a post procedure kit to be used for 7 days.

Treatment Duration
70 -80 minutes
The process of Dermaplaning is quick and easy.

What happens after the treatment?
After Dermaplaning we will apply a soothing mask if you’d like. Following the procedure you’re immediately able to resume your normal activities, although you may have some redness.

Who can benefit from Dermaplaning?
Anyone who has unwanted facial vellus hair and is seeking an improvement in skin texture can benefit from Dermaplaning. It is safe for almost all skin types, including those with acne, rosacea or sensitive skin.

Will the facial hair come back darker?
No. Your facial hair will come back exactly as it was prior to a Dermaplaning treatment. It will not darken or become coarse.

How long do the results last?
Most patients will benefit from having a Dermaplaning treatment on a monthly basis or every 6 weeks. By doing so, you are removing stubborn, dead skin cells that have built up over the past few weeks. You will see the best results if you keep up with regular maintenance treatments and have a good skin care routine at home.

Is there any downtime with Dermaplaning?
There is absolutely no downtime involved with a Dermaplaning facial treatment. You can immediately go back to your normal routine after leaving the spa. You can also apply products and make-up after a treatment. Don’t forget your sunscreen!
